Backpacker into the Arch in May 2011, trail marker misplaced so be sure to look UP if u go! We caught it at sunset, sun rays piercing thru the arch, breathtaking! Colors astounding, glad we went.
Arch is OK. Not nearly as spectacular as all the other arches in southern Utah. No need to go any further than the posted suggested turnaround spot. If you are pressed for time, I would recommend skipping this and going to see the waterfall in Beartrap Canyon instead.
